Pier transfers timed to the ship, not the clock
Toronto cruises from other people's cities: New York, Boston, Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Vancouver most of all. The airport transfer, the hotel night and the pier run are booked here as one itinerary and fulfilled by network affiliates who work those terminals every sailing day.
How a cruise transfer is run
Boarding cut-off out, customs hall back
Embarkation day is planned backwards from the boarding cut-off printed on your documents, with a buffer for the terminal queue, so a Toronto family flying into Fort Lauderdale the morning of the sailing is at Port Everglades with an hour to spare rather than a minute. Disembarkation is planned forwards from the ship's actual clearance, which is when customs starts, not when the itinerary said the ship would dock. The chauffeur waits sixty minutes from clearance at no charge, because a full ship takes that long to empty.
The Toronto legs, Pearson or Billy Bishop to home, are our own vehicles. The pier legs are Limousine Association International affiliates in the port city, booked and confirmed by us, on the same itinerary and the same card.

The five ports our clients use most
New York and Brooklyn
Manhattan Cruise Terminal on the West Side and Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook. JFK, LaGuardia and Newark to the pier, and a Manhattan hotel night before the sailing.
Boston
Flynn Cruiseport in the Seaport District. Porter flies Billy Bishop to Logan, which is twelve minutes from the pier.
Miami
PortMiami, the busiest cruise port in the world. Miami International to the pier is twenty minutes; Fort Lauderdale airport to PortMiami is forty-five.
Fort Lauderdale
Port Everglades, ten minutes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood airport. The most common winter sailing for Ontario families.
Vancouver
Canada Place for Alaska sailings. Vancouver airport to the pier is thirty-five minutes, with the Seattle alternative at Pier 91 two and a half hours south.
Port Canaveral
Forty-five minutes from Orlando airport. Booked with the theme-park hotel nights through the travel desk.
