FBO transfers: the car is at the steps when the door opens
Private aviation runs on different clocks and different gates from the commercial terminals. We track the tail number, talk to the handler and stage the vehicle on the apron side of the fence wherever the field allows it.
Toronto's private terminals
Pearson north ramp, the island, Oshawa and Hamilton
Most business jets into Toronto use the fixed-base operators on the north side of Pearson, reached from Derry Road rather than the terminal loop. They have their own security gates, their own lounges and their own etiquette: the car waits at the FBO, not in a cell-phone lot, and it is at the aircraft when the handler says so. Billy Bishop has an FBO for aircraft small enough for the island; Oshawa Executive and Hamilton take the overflow and the turboprops.
The chauffeur is briefed on which FBO, which gate and which handler, so a passenger walking off the aircraft is met by name at the bottom of the stairs or, where the field keeps vehicles landside, at the FBO door.

Five things a private aviation pickup needs that a commercial one does not
Tail-number tracking
There is no airline feed. We follow the registration on flight-tracking services and take the handler's estimate over ours.
Handler liaison
The FBO desk knows when the aircraft is ten minutes out. Our dispatcher is on the phone to that desk, and the chauffeur is on the ramp or at the door before the passenger is.
Ramp access
Where the field allows escorted vehicles airside, the chauffeur has the identification and the escort arranged. Where it does not, the pickup is at the FBO lobby with the bags handled by the line crew.
Slot changes
Departures move by hours. An hourly or private chauffeur booking on the departure day means the car is at the client's disposal until the crew calls, not at the mercy of a fixed pickup time.
Discretion
No name boards on the ramp, no logos on the vehicle, and chauffeurs who have signed confidentiality agreements when the broker asks for it.
Charter brokers and flight departments
Brokers and corporate flight departments book on a livery account, in their own name, and are copied on the chauffeur details for every leg.

Enter the FBO as the pickup address and put the tail number in the flight field. For departure days with a moving slot, choose the hourly option instead.
